Going to keep this one short and sweet so I can do a bit of writing before going to see A Real Pain with some friends (and then more writing afterward, because duh).
There were a few days when I got little to no writing done. I was having a hard week—work was busy, couples therapy wasn’t at our usual time which threw off my groove.

Yesterday, though, was fairly productive. I finished reading Sally Rooney’s Intermezzo and felt, as I always do when I read her books, inspired to strive for something beautiful in my writing. I loosely mapped the outline of what I’d like each chapter to accomplish in terms of Major Events, which is where some of those words come from (loose notes). For the first time in any of my long-form writing projects, I set up my document to have dedicated space for each chapter so that I can move fluidly between them if I feel called to write non-chronologically. I still haven’t had a day where I’ve written 1667 words, but I’m creeping closer (and it’s only taken me the better half of a month to get there).
What else I did this week
Called my Dad to chat for an hour
Quilted while watching Woman of the Hour, about which I have complicated feelings
Read aloud to Jozef
Walked Marmalade with Jozef to the river one night
Listened to my brother ramble about all the jobs he could one day have
Finished reading Intermezzo (as previously mentioned)
